With over 25 years of experience in the staffing industry, Mike Cleland helps executives achieve their growth goals through leadership development and organization design. As the founder of Charted Path, Mike has worked with owners and executives on optimizing organizational structure, company governance, business planning, sales strategy, process improvement, performance management, and compensation plan development. Mike has worked with over 125 companies ranging from start-up to $600 million in every major staffing vertical.

As a former president of a $60 million IT staffing company, Mike understands the practical challenges of execution and helps clients develop focused and feasible solutions that management teams can implement. When not working with his clients, Mike shares his knowledge through various articles and speaking engagements. His latest book Breaking Through: Leadership Disciplines from Top Performing Staffing Firms, was co-authored with Barry Asin, President of SIA, as a follow-up to Behind the Wheel: Driving Excellence in Staffing Operations. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the staffing industry, and has been leading staffing technology initiatives for more than two decades. Mary Ann serves as a Managing Partner and co-owner of Butler Street. Since 2013, Butler Street has delivered sales, recruiting, account management and leadership solutions that are proving to help staffing companies grow. Prior to Butler Street, Mary Ann served in senior executive roles for fifteen years including Chief Operating Officer, President, and Managing Director in the staffing, revenue cycle and print industries. As a Six Sigma Champion certified executive, Mary Ann leverages her robust process background with thirty-three years of sales and operational leadership experience to help companies achieve lasting results. Mary Ann is an advocate for women leaders through active participation in ASA Women in Leadership Council and serving on the board of George Washington University’s Women in Leadership program. She holds a B.S. Degree in Marketing from Bradley University and resides in Nashville.

A serial entrepreneur and seasoned CEO, Rishabh has successfully led technology-enabled businesses in payroll, benefits, and healthcare services with leading US and international private equity funds.

Rishabh previously served as Director and CEO for Ascender HCM, a leading payroll and HCM provider in Australasia, where he led the acquisition and transformation of the business. He was a member of the Executive Advisory Council for CVC, a multi-billion global tech private equity fund, most recently serving as Executive Chairman for BoltInc. He is the co-founder & former Executive Chairman of Kinela and serves as a Strategic Advisor to Pharmacord. Rishabh was a General Partner at Archer Capital, a $3 billion private equity fund where he served as Chairman of the Board of Supercars and was a Director of HealtheCare. Rishabh served as the CEO of SHPS, Inc., a leading private-equity backed provider of HR outsourcing, benefits management and consumer-driven health plans, CEO of Landacorp, a private equity backed medical management software business. Prior to SHPS, he was co-founder and CEO of Abilizer Solutions, a pioneering portal software firm focused on innovative employee benefits (sold to BEA).

Rishabh is a graduate of Tufts University and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. Rishabh brings vast experience in technology leadership, acquisition, growth strategy, and HCM to Avionté.

Derek Pittak

Derek Pittak

Over the first 15 years of his career, Derek worked for large organizations having served in the United States Air Force, Department of Defense, and KeyBank.

At Key, he was instrumental in leading the change for how the business managed their $120M contingent labor budget. During that time, Derek gained an appreciation for the staffing industry and subsequently joined TalentLaunch. He was responsible for the corporate support functions of the then $125M organization as the Chief Operating Officer. The network hit the ceiling and found EOS where Derek was responsible for the rollout and served as the Integrator during that time.

Derek began a new journey in 2019 starting an EOS practice. Now, as an EOS Franchise owner and Certified EOS Implementer, his passion allows him to make a meaningful difference by helping other business owners get what they want from their business. Derek’s unique style brings his own experience as an Integrator of a rapidly growing organization and now as an entrepreneur himself, he sees the complexity that even small organizations can quickly become immersed in.

He resides in the Cleveland area, with his wife Kelli, their four children, and golden doodle!

Robert Reid

Robert Reid

Robert Reid, principal of Butler Street, brings 13 years of staffing industry experience from business development to recruiting and key account management. Additionally, he is a highly successful improv theatre talent and creative content writer. His ability to add the “fun factor” into instructor-led training and eLearning has proven to increase retention of Butler Street’s highly successful methodologies, processes and skills training.

From 2007 to 2017, Robert utilized his theatre improv ability as a corporate trainer and performer for various theaters including the famed Second City in Chicago, IL. Robert facilitated training sessions for companies and organizations looking for a unique approach to training on topics such as communication, collaboration and innovation skills as well as team-building. Robert also performed both improv and sketch comedy for corporate entertainment offerings.

Prior to his role as corporate trainer, Robert began his career with Randstad, an international staffing firm currently ranked second largest in the world. During his 11-year tenure, Robert worked in business development and recruitment with a focus on office administrative and light industrial roles in a retail setting. From there, Robert shifted focus to Randstad’s onsite and key account clients in both Jacksonville and Chicago where he handled high-volume recruitment projects.

Immediately after Randstad, Robert was a recruitment manager for PPR and later Hueman People Solutions; both companies focused in the healthcare industry.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Robert now lives in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. He teaches and performs improv regularly, sings in a local band and does his best to get out and surf every once in a while, when he’s not in front of the classroom.
